Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct for the "Musica Sacra International" Festival for Peaceful Dialogue Among People of Different Religious Traditions and Cultures.

Since 1992, "Musica Sacra International" has stood for peaceful dialogue between people of different religious traditions and cultures. This involves highlighting commonalities and differences, always characterized by mutual respect, trust, and tolerance.

The festival is a place of free thought, freedom of religious practice, and respectful conduct. In interreligious dialogue, religious beliefs and practices encounter one another, which can also present challenges. Mutual proselytizing is not in the festival's interest; instead, the aim is to deepen the understanding and experience of each other's and one's own religious traditions.

Such understanding is based on certain ethical principles and attitudes: We reject all forms of group-based hostility: racism and ethnic exclusion, misogyny, homophobia and transphobia, religious discrimination such as antisemitism/anti-Judaism or Islamophobia, and prejudice based on appearance, age, physical characteristics, or social class. We advocate for an inclusive society and culture that enables cultural and religious participation for all and explicitly promotes diversity and plurality.

Therefore, we request and expect all those involved in the festival to treat each other with respect and kindness, regardless of religious or political beliefs or cultural background.

The management of the Musica Sacra International festival ensures that these principles are observed by all participants.
