May 22, 2026, 7:00 p.m., Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf, Richard-Wengenmeier Hall Each year, the Federal Music Association for Choirs & Orchestras awards the Hans Lenz Medal to an individual or institution that has rendered outstanding service to the integration of music into society, the promotion of amateur music, and cultural education for young people. Prof. Jürgen Budday has shaped amateur music and musical youth education for decades: as founder of the Maulbronn Chamber Choir, director of the Monastery Concerts and the ICCC Marktoberdorf, a successful conductor, juror, and driving force in national committees and competitions.
