Around 60 volunteers are hard at work

 

The MODfestivals team led by Bettina Strobel, Artistic Director, Prof. Dr Peter Bubmann, Academic and Theological Director, and Prof. Ulrich Wegenast, Managing Director of MODfestivals, is already gearing up for the Musica Sacra International festival at Whitsun from 22 to 26 May 2026.

At the traditional staff meeting last Sunday at the Bavarian Music Academy in Marktoberdorf, more than half of the approximately 60 staff members who supplement the four-person MODfestivals team for the festival gathered. Among them were once again Katharina and Gabriel Müller from Canada, who undertook the long journey to support the festival team, as they have done for years.

Many international guests from all over the world have also already confirmed their attendance. When the first choirs and ensembles arrive in the Allgäu in a few days’ time, Marktoberdorf and the entire Allgäu, Augsburg and Munich regions will once again exude an international atmosphere. Eight ensembles and choirs from various countries and regions around the world have been invited to engage in a musical dialogue together throughout the Allgäu.
