To mark the start of the Musica Sacra International festival from 22 to 26 May 2026, there will once again be a traditional singing performance at the weekly market and in the Sparkasse lobby in Marktoberdorf.
At the two closing concerts as part of Musica Sacra International, all the ensembles will perform live once again on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, with Part I at 6 pm and Part II at 8 pm.
In addition to the Musica Sacra International festival programme, the supporting programme offers a wide range of opportunities for people to meet and exchange ideas.
At the Musica Sacra International opening concert on Friday 22 May 2026, all eight invited ensembles and choirs will perform at 8 pm at the Bavarian Music Academy in Marktoberdorf.
The traditional Mother’s Day concert marking the start of Musica Sacra International will take place on Sunday, 10 May 2026 at 2.30 pm, featuring the Girls’ Choir of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin at the Bavarian Music Academy in Marktoberdorf.
The Musica Sacra International 2026 festival will kick off with an opening concert by the Girls’ Choir of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin on 9 May 2026 at 7 pm in the church at the Schulbrüder College in Illertissen.
