For the first time since 2018, the "Musica Sacra International" festival will take place again in its usual form over Whitsun from May 17 to 21, 2024. A lively, musically high-quality and exciting program awaits visitors. n the morning workshops, singing along in the festival choir or attending one of the 15 or so concerts taking place during this period, all interested guests will have the opportunity to get to know the eight invited ensembles and their music and traditions.

The multi-religious encounter festival "Musica Sacra International" and the "International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf" have become a valuable and indispensable part of the annual calendar. Anyone who has ever attended an event and had a taste of the festival atmosphere knows what a treasure has developed here thanks to the commitment of countless participants over three decades.

In times of constantly rising costs, which for a long time can no longer be financed by public, voluntary funds and concert income, the private commitment of citizens, for whom the preservation of these musical gems is important, is becoming more and more important every year. By becoming a member of the Förderverein Internationaler Chorbegegnungen im Allgäu e.V. and making a contribution of 50 euros/year or more, you can continue to support and secure the organization of the Marktoberdorf Whitsun Festival in the future.

With the membership recruitment campaign launched last year in cooperation with our valued partner, Allgäuer Brauhaus AG, all new members also have the chance to win a hot air balloon ride until 31.05.2024. In addition, every new member will receive a small gift from Allgäuer Brauhaus as a thank you for supporting the festivals. The "Intercultural Brunch" on Whit Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf is the ideal opportunity to get to know and experience the association and the "Musica Sacra International" festival. Similar to the Singschoppen at the "International Chamber Choir Competition", the focus here is on encounters. Visitors are cordially invited to enjoy the performance of an ensemble from the festival as well as a wide variety of dishes from the world's religions at the "Intercultural Brunch". Admission is free.
